Nioh 3: Lesser Crucible Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
Reclaiming the land from the encroaching Yokai realm in Nioh 3 requires more than just defeating bosses—it demands the purification of all Lesser Crucible locations. These localized pockets of concentrated malevolence function as high-intensity combat gauntlets. Unlike the sprawling main Crucibles, these mini-arenas are designed to test your endurance and mastery of the game's mechanics in a closed-circuit environment, serving as the ultimate "cleansing" act for each sub-region.
Entering a Lesser Crucible is a commitment to combat. Once you step into these corrupted zones, the exit is sealed until order is restored. To successfully clear one, you must keep the following in mind:
- You will face a fixed number of enemy waves. These often include a mix of standard Yokai and high-difficulty Elite Enemies that require precise Burst Breaks to overcome.
- The only way to exit and claim your victory is to defeat the final guardian and shatter the Crucible Spike that spawns in the center. Until that Spike is destroyed, you are trapped; the only other way out is death.
- Many nearby Shrines are held hostage by the corruption within these zones. Shattering the Spike is often the only way to restore a "Corrupted Shrine," granting you back the ability to level up and manage your Soul Cores.
Lesser Crucibles are the single most effective way to push your Exploration Level to its limits. By purifying these hubs, you unlock the following rewards:
- Every cleared Crucible grants immediate base stat increases and provides high-tier loot, including rare materials for the Fox-masked Blacksmith.
- Raising your Exploration Level through these victories is the key to unlocking Area Info. This reveals the exact locations of Kodama, Hot Springs, and the elusive Chijiko on your world map.
- Because Lesser Crucibles are hidden by the "Fog of War" when you first enter a region, finding them without guidance can lead to hours of backtracking.
